Technical specification Ford Transit 2019

Ford Transit MK9 debuted on the market in 2019. For many people it is treated as a facelift Ford Transit MK8, because the changes mainly concern the visual aspect. Ford Transit 2019 got a new look of the front grille and was also introduced to the American market. The vehicle received a gold medal in safety tests organized by Euro NCAP. Ford Transit MK9 has been recognized for its innovative road collision avoidance systems. The vehicle is available with front-wheel drive (FWD), rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). The Ford Transit MK9 is available in the following versions: van, minibus (station wagon), brigade, chassis with a cabin.

Ford Transit MK9 engines

Ford Transit MK9 is powered by 2.0 TDCI engines, commonly known as EcoBlue. Available power variants are 105 HP, 130 HP, 170 HP, 185 HP. These vehicles are mated with the M6, A6 and HDT6 6-speed gearboxes. Ford Transit 2.0 EcoBlue engines meet Euro 6c and Euro 6d-TEMPT exhaust emission standards and work with AdBlue. C02 emissions are in the range of 163-205 g/km. The available power units also include the 2.0 New EcoBlue Hybrid engine with 130 hp or 170 hp. It is a hybrid engine dedicated to passenger versions with front-wheel drive. In 2022, the electric Ford Transit was also introduced to the market, more about which we wrote below.


Ford Transit MK9 equipment

Ford Transit 2019 is available in several special editions: Ambiente, Trend, Trail, Limited. They differ in additional equipment such as: side parking sensors, body-colored front bumper, LED daytime running lights, aluminum wheel rims, unique Trail dummy, electric folding side mirrors, cruise control with adjustable speed limit. The new systems used in the Ford Transit MK9 include the lane control system, Pre-Collision Assist, Front camera, electric power steering and electric sliding doors. The Ford Transit Trail grille deserves special attention.

Ford E-Transit

The electric version of the Ford Transit MK9, known as the E-Transit, is also available for customers. It is available in three length variants: L2, L3 and L4. Depending on the selected vehicle version, the permissible total weight of the vehicle is 3500 kg or 4250 kg. According to the data provided by the manufacturer, the vehicle has a range of 309 km on a single charge and a maximum load capacity of 1630 kg. The time to quickly charge the battery to 80% is 34 minutes. Ford E-Transit is powered by a battery with a capacity of 400V and 68kWh. The vehicle has zero exhaust emissions thanks to the 184 hp (135 kW) electric motor. The Ford E-Transit does not have a traditional gearbox, it has been replaced by a gear knob (resembling a potentiometer).
