In 1978 was presented a facelifted version, commonly known in some markets as the Transit Mark II. Among the changes that introduced Ford in new model were new automatic transmission C3 and efficient Heater matrix cooperating with heater control cable. The second-generation Ford Transit had a modern gasoline engine with a camshaft.Ford Transit Mark II was used by british army on Port Stanley in the Falklands island. The first of the two cars, which descended on the island were Ford Transit in civilian variant.
