Transit Center Fleet: What We DriveFor the team at Transit Center, vans are more than just a business — they are a way of life. Our company fleet is a testament to the practical knowledge we’ve gathered over decades of supplying parts. From our reliable everyday haulers to the world-famous Drift Bus, discover the vehicles that keep us moving.Mercedes Sprinter - The Backbone of Our OperationsWe currently utilize two different generations of the Mercedes Sprinter for our logistical needs. We’ve chosen these vans for their superior handling and the high level of driver comfort they provide during long hauls. Whether we are moving inventory or attending trade shows, the Sprinter remains our top choice for a dependable professional partner. Volkswagen: A Favorite Among Our SpecialistsWhen it comes to personal commuting and business travel, many of our most experienced staff members opt for Volkswagen. The VW Golf has become a staple in our parking lot, valued for its exceptional build quality and fuel efficiency. It’s a versatile vehicle that perfectly balances professional performance with everyday usability. Lessons from Our Ford Transit HistoryOur journey is deeply rooted in the history of the Ford Transit, though not every model was perfect. We found the MK7 2.4 RWD to be quite demanding in terms of engine maintenance over time. Similarly, the newer MK8 with the 2.0 EcoBlue engine presented us with challenges like injector failures and wet belt complications. However, we still hold the MK5 "Smiley" in the highest regard — to this day, it remains the benchmark for reliability and remains our favorite classic Transit. The Legendary Drift BusA highlight of our collection is the world’s first Ford Transit Drift Bus, a custom masterpiece by Transit Center Motorsport. This isn't your average van; it features a powerful BMW V8 engine and a full rear-wheel-drive conversion. This van has amazed audiences at automotive events across the continent and stands as a symbol of our passion for pushing the limits of what a van can do. |
