Specifications of the 2006 Iveco Daily II by Transit Center.
The Iveco Daily II underwent a significant facelift in 2006, distinguishing it as a unique version within the series. This updated model officially launched in 2006.
In 2007, the refreshed Iveco Daily II introduced a new natural gas (CNG) engine delivering 136 horsepower. This engine met strict Euro 6 and EEV (Enhanced Environmentally Friendly Vehicle) emission standards. The vehicle's CNG tanks could hold 31 liters of gas, providing a range of 300 kilometers. Additionally, it featured a 14-liter backup tank for conventional fuel. However, the natural gas version had a reduced load capacity due to the additional tank, decreasing its payload by 440 pounds.
In 2008, Iveco Daily II, in partnership with FedEx Express, began testing new hybrid engines on the Milan-Turin route. Further tests were conducted across various European cities, using Irisbus Iveco Daily Hybrid models as prototypes. These hybrid engines combined a 116 HP diesel engine with a Bosch electric motor delivering 43.5 HP, primarily utilized during vehicle startup. Once the vehicle exceeded 10 km/h, the electric motor deactivated, leaving the diesel engine as the sole power source.
The 2009 model introduced a refreshed design, including a silver-painted front grille and updated engines in the following configurations: 2.3 liters (106 HP, 126 HP) and 3.0 liters (140 HP, 170 HP). Models with 3.0-liter engines were branded as Iveco EcoDaily.
In 2011, the Iveco Daily received another facelift and earned European awards for its innovations in transport and environmental sustainability, particularly for its electric variant. By 2012, the range expanded to include new engines with 2.3 liters (146 HP) and 3.0 liters (146 HP) capacities, complying with EEV emission standards.
Engine Options: 2.3 HPI, 70kW, 96HP 2.3 HPI, 78kW, 106HP 2.3 HPI, 85kW, 116HP 2.3 HPI, 93kW, 126HP 2.3 HPT, 100kW, 136HP 3.0 HPI, 103kW, 140HP 3.0 HPI, 107kW, 146HP 3.0 HPT, 125kW, 170HP 3.0 HPT, 129kW, 176HP 2.7 CNG, 78kW, 106HP 3.0 CNG, 100kW, 136HP Electric: 30kW, 40kW, 60kW
