American Ducato - Ram ProMaster

Due to market turmoil and Fiat's economic expansion, Ducato III was launched on American market in 2013 under the name Ram ProMaster. The United States didn’t impose restrictions on manufacturers of van emissions, which in the market developed the American preference for strong, strong gasoline units in the V system. Thus, the first available version in the US was powered by a 3.6L V6 engine with 280 hp . The van's basic equipment also includes an automatic transmission.

A year later it was decided to give a ProMaster light refresh. Mainly the front belt has changed. American Ducato underwent a body lift, it was also decided to strengthen the suspension elements. Returning to the internal nomenclature, the lifting version received the name Type 290. In 2016, Ram stopped selling its delivery vehicles. During this period, environmental policy in Europe was deepened, which translated into the creation of a completely new series of engines, meeting the requirements of Euro 6.

On the used car market you can still find pearls powered by powerful gasoline units. The indicated 3.6 liter, 280 horsepower unit accelerates to 100 km / h in about 8 seconds. Combined with LPG, it can be a very interesting alternative to economical oil-powered engines.
