All of the Renault Master III diesel engines are 2.3 dCi of many horsepower options from 100 HP to 170 HP. Constructors used a timing chain instead of a timing belt. Even though the belt is quieter, the chain has much better durability. Manufacturer hasn’t planned timing changes but it’s a good idea to change timing chain, timing chain hydraulic tensioners, timing gears and chain guides after 400 000 to 500 000 km. If the timing chain breaks while driving, consequences may be disastrous.

Most data is required to set the correct amount of fuel injected into the engine. The Lambda probe - also called the oxygen (O2) sensor - is a very complex part. It measures the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gases. Lifetime of an O2 sensor is about 150 000 km. Old lambda probe will send readings too slow, and the computer will work on too enriched air-fuel mixture.
