This engine has five tanks for CNG and one 15-liter spare tank for petrol. Natural Power engines are eco-friendly and cheaper to repair but this is the end of their advantages. The cost of the fuel per 100km is similar to the Multijet 2.3 engine. Another problem with CNG powered engines is that there aren’t enough gas stations offering this fuel. However, each year the amount of CNG gas stations is rising.
The V-belt which transfers power to the engine accessories has to be changed regularly. To check if the replacement time of the V-belt has come, take it off and take a close look. On the V-belt there are cracks and it's’ not the sign to replace it. Time to replace the V-belt comes if there are 3 or more cracks on the section of 5cm. Neglect of replacing the V-belt in the Multijet engines of Fiat Ducato III leads to breaking of the V-belt. Therefore all of the engine accessories loses their power and you can’t go any further.
